Moulding Types

Wall + Floor

  • Baseboards cover the joint where the floor and the wall meet and create a seamless look through your home. Base mouldings can be basic or ornate to fit the style of your room.

  • Chair rails were traditionally installed one-third the distance of the ceiling height to protect the wall from furniture damage. Today, chair rails add depth and style to your room and provide a separation between different types of wall colors, patterns, or textures.

  • Panel moulding is a raised profile that frames wall paneling on either flat or recessed surfaces. The moulding is easy to install and can add a unique design feature to any room.

Ceiling

A crown or cove moulding is a trim piece installed at the top of an interior wall to provide a decorative accent between the wall and ceiling. Ceiling mouldings can enhance your interior design and draw your eyes up to the ceiling.

  • Crown moulding has a convex profile and projects out from the wall.

  • Cove moulding has a concave profile and bows inward.

Interior Doors

  • Case moulding frames the outside of interior doors. The trim conceals the unfinished gap between the drywall and a door frame.

  • A door topper sits on top of the door casing and is available in a variety of widths and profiles to match the style of your home.

  • Barn door hardware kits are also available for single, double, or bi-pass door applications.

Moulding Accessories

  • Corner moulding conceals the edge of two trim pieces and protects the corner from damage.

  • Rosettes are decorative blocks used for changing the direction of trim pieces such as a door or window frame. Block moulding is easy to install and eliminates the need for difficult angle cuts.

Interior Stair Parts

Staircase parts

Staircase parts consist of handrails, newel posts, newel caps, and balusters. We offer a variety of materials and profiles to match the design of your space whether it’s rustic, craftsman, traditional or contemporary. Wood species are available in alder, cherry, maple, oak, poplar, and knotty pine. You can also pair wrought iron balusters with wood newel posts for a more versatile design.

Stair Railing Systems

Over-the-Post

Over-the-post railing systems use a series of rail fittings to run the handrail over the newel posts for a continuous handrail system.

Post-to-Post

In a post-to-post railing system, the handrail runs between a series of newel posts that project above the handrail.
